Last year on a cold March day in Baltimore, close to 100 athletes gathered from grades 6th-9th for the Top 100 Rising Freshmen & Youth All American Combine. In a combine that was filled with some of the top 8th grade & 9th grade talent from the Bmore, The DMV, Philly, NJ & Delaware, there was a 7th grader whose stood out physically (6'0'' 180lb) and athletically. This kid didn't do any trash talking, was very reserved, but kept a quiet confidence to himself. His name is Leddie Brown. Although a 9th grader won the Camp MVP, he walked away with a very impressive performance running a 4.8 40 yrd dash and playing impressively in the 7v7 competition that earned him 7th Grade TOP PERFORMER.  About a month later, he would show up in a combine in New Jersey and provide everyone with another stellar performance improving his 40 time to 4.7. Again he performed extremely well, but an upperclassmen would walk away with the MVP. Leddie however walked away from 2 camps catching the eye of our Head Nation Scout, Orey Ferrell, who shortly after extended an invite to the Rising Freshmen All American Game for the 7th grade Delaware native.

Leddie Brown dominated in the Rising Freshmen All American Game and made a name for himself in south Florida. Many onlookers were amazed at the power & speed of the 7th grader as he made his presence known on both sides of the ball. South Florida's top recruiting expert, Larry Blustein, was quoted as saying "That Leddie Brown.........he's a MAN!!". Leddie played reminiscent of Adrian Peterson on the offensive side of the ball, and was an imposing LB on the defensive side of things.  Ferrell stated " Leddie defensively has the uncanny ability to play almost anywhere on the field at the next level.  He is also a humble &  great kid off the field. He is the total package." While Brown was arguably the top performer for the North Team in the Rising Freshmen Game, he would again miss the game MVP as his team would be defeated 15-19 in a very close game.

Fast forward to weeks later, the TOP 100 PROSPECTS LIST would be announced and this time the top honor would not evade Leddie Brown as he would be named the #1 PROSPECT IN THE NATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2018! Leddie continued his dominance over the summer working out with Flash Training and earning a spot on their High School 7v7 team.  He also will be attending the highly publicized Eastern Christian Academy next year, but wanted to leave his mark on the youth football world his 8th grade season. Leddie led his Wilmington Soldiers team to a trip to Florida in the AYF Nationals with a season performance boasting 1391 yrds 21 tds 7td passes & 3 int. Leddie's dominance over the past year hasn't gone without notice. Recently he has received his first offer from the University of West Virginia, without even playing a down of HS football, but we're sure this won't be the last.
